Trevor Easley: Why You Should Audition

Trevor Easley was the first student to audition for Take America to College. We asked Trevor if he could elaborate on his background, and some of the reasons he decided to audition.
My name is Trevor Easley. I’m 21 years old and a student at The Ohio Center for Broadcasting where I am studying radio and television engineering. I am also working two part time jobs to pay my bills.
I was just in school today and found myself yet again sitting in the financial aid office asking for another extension on my school payment, but after watching the video promo from Lizz I realized that I am not alone. As a matter of fact, there are more students in similar situations then we think.
Students who are beating the odds and smash those statistics that say: “no, you’re not going to make it in college.” So I think that it is extremely vital that we uncover the issue.
In my rare spare time I intern at a local Christian based Recording label called Sling Shot Media Group LLC. The reason I decided to make this video is to raise national awareness about nontraditional college student. College students like me in school while dealing with the harsh realities of the real world.
I am honored to be granted the opportunity share my story with world, I hope my story will inspire you to take the plunge share you story with others together we can Take America To College.
